1. Description

: This is a 4-week course to help the learner to improve their Korean language understanding especially for their workplace. 

2. Target group

: someone who already works in Korea, or people who will start to work soon in Korea. 

  Anyone who can follow the class with Korean free talking(slow speed)

3. Objective

: This course will provide knowledge and understanding for the workplace’s Korean language.

  > At the very beginning of the class, Lecturer will check your workplace, and what you really want to learn 

 > focusing on improvement of Korean language understanding 

4. Modules (2 hours[+a] * 4 weeks) 

 Week 0. Orientation, Icebreaking, share the common thing. [1-2 hours]

• Greetings to everyone, share the every condition such as where, industry, goal for every student. 

 Week 1. Polite / casual ways of Greetings[인사]/conversation[대화]

• Basic greetings/conversation of Korean language with TPO – polite version / casual version
• Details of the class may be changed to suit the students’ requests.

 Week 2. workplace conversation

• Basic and necessary conversation such as “반장님, 저희 라인 멈췄어요,”(Manager, my machine line suddenly stopped.)
• Learn to talk based on workplace culture and its characteristics.

 Week 3. How to properly respond to discrimination and abusive language 

• In this session, we teach you how to know and respond to the fact that you have been treated unfairly.

 Week 4.  Public place conversation – restaurant / convenience store, / summary.

• Basic greetings/conversation of Korean language with TPO – polite version / casual version
• Summarize for all our lessons. 

Self introduction

 Hello, This is DongKyou Lee, a.k.a. Peter. I am a native Korean who worked in a lot of industries in Korea. I graduated from elementary school to University in Korea, and worked in the factory, customer service(BPO), wine waiter, salesperson, and so on. 

 One of my strength is my working experience. Based on my working experience, I can teach you how you can properly speak Korean language in your workplace. I believe that the most important component in the Korean language is catching the context. So I want to teach you how to speak Korean in your workplace, and how to catch the right context in your workplace. 

 Once you join my class, you will improve your Korean step by step. Feel free to join and ask to me, ready to have a conversation with you all.

 안녕하세요. 이동규(Peter)라고 합니다. 저는 다양한 산업에서 일해본 경력을 가지고 있어요. 

초등학교부터 대학교까지 전부 한국에서 졸업했고, 대학교는 서울의 중앙대학교(Chung-Ang University)를 졸업했습니다. 저는 공장, 콜센터, 와인 웨이터, 영업직 등 다양한 분야에서 일한 경력을 가지고 있습니다.

 제 가장 큰 장점은 다양한 경험이에요. 제 경험을 바탕으로 여러분들에게 직장에서 잘 말할 수 있도록 만들어 드리고자 합니다. 저는 한국어에서 가장 중요한 요소 중 하나는 말의 context를 파악하는 것이라고 생각해요. 그래서 이 부분을 주로 설명해드리고, 알려드리면서, 대화하는 방법을 알려드릴 것입니다.

 일단 제 수업에 참석하시면, 한국어가 계속 점진적으로 향상되어 가는 것을 느낄 수 있을 거에요. 함께하면서 같이 대화하고 즐기면서 배워봅시다.
